Low-Power Circuit Design

Nowadays we are surrounded by a countless number of battery-powered devices. Battery autonomy is a critical specification and some products requirements are getting up to 10 years of battery lifetime. In order to reach this specification very low power circuits should be designed to increase lifetime and product autonomy.

RFIDO Design team has a strong background in designing low-power and low-voltage circuits for battery-powered devices as well as for batteryless / energy-harvesting circuits, such as:

  • Current and voltage references;

  • Very low-power current-starved ring/RC oscillators;

  • LDO's and POR (Power-On Reset) circuits.

These circuits are the basic building blocks for Always on PMUs of modern microcontrollers which remains on during deep sleep mode.
